Rustic Photo Holder

I saw the inspiration for the rustic photo holder in a catalog, of all places! The catalog version was a stretched canvas that appeared to be a reclaimed wood sign. The photos were printed on the canvas and appeared to be held by wooden clothes pins. I thought it would be a great gift idea!! I also knew that I could make my own version with pallet wood and miniature clothes pins.

My sweet husband made the sign base for me using pallet wood. I decided to paint it teal and stain the paint to give it a vintage look. Using a festive clothes pin garland from the dollar store, I removed the felt snowflakes and painted the clothes pins a coordinated light blue pearl collar. I attached the twine the clothes pins were on to the back of the sign, adjusted the clothes pins and repeated this step for a second row so that it would hold 12 pictures. I added a cute sentiment using a chalk paint pen before attaching the photos.

My version allows the recipient to swap out photos which made it perfect for proud grandparents! I know both my mother and mother-in-law are going to be thrilled with this gift! They can hang up my kids' school pictures and switch them next year with updated photos!

We'll be adding the rustic photo holder to our shop so you can get your own! The sentiment and color are customizable!
